Playing
around with video and audio is something I have wanted to experiment with for a
while. So to say I enjoyed this week’s tasks is an understatement.
Here are
some of the things I have created, please note that this is my first attempt at
using video and audio tools so I apologise for the amateur vibes.
Digital
video is a tool I would like to build on for future assessment tasks.
Simply awesome. This would be brilliant for those days when you are sick, have the substitute point the cursor so that the character stares at any student misbehaving haha. Okay that may not work but is still a fantastic tool!

ReplyDeleteI especially like the idea of a cartoon representation for students who are shy or not willing to video themselves. We will be teaching adolescents at a stage at which identify is being formed and by forcing them to video themselves if they are uncomfortable with it could have serious consequences. This also made me consider that it is vital that as teachers we give students the option to submit video or any images of themselves solely to the teacher, to avoid bullying and harassment issues. Also it made me consider how important that access to images and videos of students is tightly controlled to avoid Facebook shaming etc by other students or worse.
