Week 2 Bloom's Taxonomy, SAMR Model and Digital Pedagogy

When I think about the SAMR Model, links are always drawn between it and digital pedagogies. As I read through the resources this week, I once again found myself making these connections and thinking about ways to integrate them to develop the most effective ICT activity ever. However, I had never associated Bloom’s Taxonomy with digital pedagogies like I had for the SAMR Model. After reflecting on the resources, I have come to the conclusion that this “Best ICT Activity Ever” would need to combine aspects of all three models. However not only can these models be combined to help enhance activities, they can be used as an ultimate guide to deciding whether ICT’s would benefit an activity.

I thought that the best way to describe these links I developed in my head, would be to use a diagram. Below illustrates how different aspects of each model can come together to create a better task.  Some aspects relate with others more, so their hexagons are touching. Some aspects only loosely relate to each other, hence the gaps. Each model is color coded to further encapsulate their connection.

  1. I like the way you have set this out, and the links are clear and logical, however I have to ask, is there a reason it is in a 'V' shape? :)

  2. I wish I had planned the shape better, it's just how it worked out. Would have been good if I had a cool analogy for it haha.

  4. WOW, great presentation of the connection between the 3 areas. The colours are a great idea, very visual yet not overpowering.
